"D'you think it's part of someone's gun? The trigger can't be too easy to tear off. It's metal!" Maryna exclaimed. "Why would someone bury it? Why here in the claybeds? That was kind of idiotic."

Eomer turned into a red squirrel and scrambled down the girl's arm to sniff it. "It could just be a piece of scrap metal someone threw away." he said. This disappointed him, as it did Maryna, that this mysterious object could turn out to be rubbish.

((Ick, sorry for the horribly short post. I haven't rped in a while! XD))

((Not to worry, I'm really tired at the moment so I'm not sure of the quality of my post.))

Lucan frown deepened as Maryna asked questions about them thing. He hoped she didn't want him to answer them all. He could guess at best.
"Why would someone tear off a gun's trigger? It'd be pretty useless then, wouldn't it." He replied. He knew that answering a question with another question wasn't exactly helpful, but didn't have the slightest idea why someone would remove a gun's trigger.
"If they buried it they might have wanted to hide it or get rid of it," He said. "The claybeds would be a good place to hide something compared to most places, But I don't know why someone would want to hide a trigger, if that's what it actually is."

Eomer might be right, of course, he thought, it could just be junk. There wouldn't be any reason for anyone to hide something like that, would there? Dewy, thinking along the same lines, spoke her mind.
"Maybe someone stole it and then hid it here until they needed it." This made Lucan look around searchingly. He didn't see anyone but Gyptians and street kids battling away. He still felt nervous.
"Suppose someone did steal it, they could be hiding anywhere, watching us." He said, a little of his unease slipping into his voice. He knew there was little chance of anyone actually being there, but couldn't empty his mind of the thought now. Maybe some kid stole it from a Gyptian or something like that, Dewy said telepathically, trying to calm her boy's nerves.

"I suppose you're right." said Maryna, holding the piece of metal out at arm's length. "No one would come looking for it here." A whole story began to unroll in her mind, but she bit her lip to keep it back. She didn't want to waste time and bore Lucan. Suddenly, the sun glinted off it and she spotted something etched into the metal. She pulled it closer and saw it had the initials "A. T." on it.

"Look at this!" she cried out triumphantly. "It's not garbage!"

OOC// I'm getting back into it...meh. Not my best, but it'll do.

IC//

"It's the lesser of two evils, it seems." Murmured Sonneillon, quickly becoming more visible to the pair-Or rather, Quad-as she shifted into a Panther-form. Minu himself was approaching Lucan.
"I dunno, Sonny. I think I preferred that Lyra girl." Having to take about five seconds of silence to wonder if either of them heard that, the teenage boy sighed as he looked Lucan over, and then did the same to Maryna. After all, Lucan was indeed one of the whole two people he had stayed around for more than five minutes at one point. This is excluding the people that chased Minu, of course. Unnoticing or uncaring of what the two of them seemed to have found, his reason for being here was quite simple-it is very, very difficult to find someone in a gathering of muddy, dirty children throwing stuff at each other. It is a good place to lie low for a while, admittedly.

Another thing popped to his mind, and was quickly discarded, and that was simply that he had interrupted something of a conversation. Obviously, Minu wasn't one to mind; he had done ruder things last time he had been around Lucan. Said ruder things, rather. Sonneillon, on the other hand, was a tad less subtle when it came to insults. That said, the Panther-shaped Daemon was already setting her eyes on Maryna, and then more fittingly on Eomer.
"Explain the metal."

(OOC: sorry it took so long, I have exams coming up soon)

"What do you think that stands for?" Lucan asked, moving closer to get a better look at the metal. He didn't expect an answer, after all, how many names must there be with the initials A.T.? And who's to say they were a persons initials anyway? It could be the initials of a business or group or something. It might be the people who made the gun's initials, if that's what th metal was from. Lucan could easily send all day trying to solve this mystery.

A voice from behind him removed the possibility of this happening. Boy and Dæmon turned their heads. Upon seeing who had spoken Lucan let out a groan. Why, out of all of the people who could have come up to them, did it have to be this boy? Dewy hopped from her boy's shoulder, changing to her Lizard from as she did so. She let out a warning hiss to Sonneillon to show that the newcomers weren't welcome.
"What are you doing here?" Lucan asked, his voice cold. "Why en't you with that man you wanted to find so bad? And why are you here?" He didn't need to add 'why are you here bothering me', his tone said it all. "It's none of your business what the metal is," Dewy replied. Both Lucan and Dewy were wondering why they had to meet this boy not once, but twice. Couldn't someone else suffer his company for a while?
